RSS Overload
Will R. posted this about news searches and RSS. He’s got a lot of information about RSS here. I didn’t know about Yahoo! RSS and am planning to investigate that further. Justin Phister has a Google News RSS generator that allows you to create a feed for any google search term you choose. Careful, now.
A good how-to for anyone interested in RSS can be found in the pdf file, RSS Quickstart Guide for Educators.
The main problem that I have with RSS at the moment is that I am getting hosed with all of the information and links to sites that I want to investigate. I feel like I’m trying to catch up on an already well-developed conversation, and I wonder if I will always feel like I’m about to be overwhelmed. I am a random person, curious by nature, someone who sees each new possibility as a rainbow that needs chasing.
