Newman, I am pleased to hear from you, and happy to know you're reading my stuff : )

The Wikiadd plugin is a bit funky, and required a more fussing with than other plugins I've installed - but it may yet prove itself. I've got it doing everything I wanted it to do except post blog text to the wiki. (I did say it is funky.) At this point I'll need to copy/paste longer blogposts to the wiki, but at least it creates a direct link to the wiki page at the end of the post. I know this is NOT a cool thing from a programming standpoint, but I'm not a programmer! I may be able to figure a way to make it work as advertised if I can catch up with all the projects I have set for myself - which is what I hoped the plugin would help me do.

Broken links seem to be a problem for both you *and* me. Thanks very much for alerting me to the alaska.wikicities.com error (definitely not intentional). You should know that http://wiki.alaskagold.com also generates an error message. Maybe you meant http://www.alaskagold.com/wiki/pmwiki.php

Anyway, I enjoyed finding your blog, and your other websites. It'll be good to read some more Alaskan bloggers. Thanks for checking in.

Hey Doug!

I'm a fan. I've seen your blog a few times, and, just today I got the chance to sit down and check it out.

I lived in Valdez and Anchorage from 1995 to 2002. I run a website called Alaskagold.com. It's an old behemoth, but I don't have the heart to shut it down. I have a blog at http://nsl555.blogspot.com and a wiki at http://wiki.alaskagold.com . I'm interested to see how the Wikiadd plugin works.

Right now, when I come across something I want to share - I have so many options and none of them work together. I can: Post to a blog or two, copy and paste into a forum post, push through some wiki format, post it to delicious, or email it! I haven't email a link in months!

I'm also a teacher (of sorts). For two years, I've been trying to teach English in Taiwan. Difficult at times and very rewarding at others.

Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks and that I'm reading your site.

Thanks!
Newman

PS: I did notice the link to the wikiCities on Alaska is broken on this page http://borderland.northernattitude.org/links/

the link goes to http://alaska/wikicities.com/wiki/Alaska and turns up on the Alaska State government home page -

should it be http://alaska.wikicities.com/wiki/Alaska - did you do this on purpose?
