Too much is going on here to keep up with it all. I had something else in mind today, but when I logged in I found a message from the Wordpress development folks telling me that the upgraded files I installed the other day had been hacked and possibly corrupted. So I spent the better part of this afternoon fixing that - except that now the feed is broken.

When the blog was being read by only a handful of people many months ago, I was curious to see how many were subscribing, so I set up an account at feedburner and installed a plugin that would redirect my blog feed URL to the feedburner feed. It used some htaccess file magic that I don’t fully understand. I also pasted some junk in the template files.

I wish I hadn’t done that now. Nothing is wrong with having a feedburner feed. The problem is that the way I set it up, whenever there’s a feedburner problem, no feeds are updated.

To try to clean things up, I’ve cleared the htaccess file of any lines with the word “feedburner” in them. I deactivated the plugin. And I’ve switched templates (again), trying to make a clean start. And of course, I’m waiting for the good folks at feedburner to respond to my SOS email.
